Emergency crews were called to the 170 block of Monastery Avenue in the South Side Slopes around 8 a.m. for reports of a structure fire.

A second alarm was called just after 9 a.m. and the fire was under control by 9:45 a.m.

No one was in the building at the time of the fire.

The fire was contained to a single structure. The cause is under investigation.

Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire Assistant Chief Mat Davis says four firefighters were taken to UPMC Mercy after a ladder came in contact with a power line.

All are in stable condition and expected to be released shortly, Pittsburgh Public Safety officials say.
