ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — Aliquippa police are investigating an apparent robbery that happened at the 7-Eleven on Broadhead Road.

Police say that, after that robbery, the suspect ran off toward the Subway restaurant. Now police need your help trying to identify and find that suspect.

Police said the man went into the 7-Eleven just after midnight Tuesday morning, stole two cartons of cigarettes and threatened to shoot the store clerk. However, police said he did not pull out a gun.

“Terrible,” said Dan Mallary, who works around Aliquippa. “Especially at Christmastime, I mean, my goodness, ya know?”

Police said the man is either white or biracial. He was wearing a red Carhartt jacket with the hood up, and the strings on the hood pulled tight to cover his face. They said he was also wearing black or blue jeans and green or camo boots.

Channel 11’s Andrew Havranek reached out to 7-Eleven’s corporate office for a comment but did not hear back.

Those who live and work in Aliquippa hope he’s found soon.

“The ladies that work in these places are so friendly, I don’t know how something like that happens,” Mallary said.

Police are asking nearby businesses and residents to check their security cameras. If you have any information, you’re asked to call Aliquippa police at 724-378-8000.
