LATROBE, Pa. — An arrest has been made in the murder of a woman who was found dead inside an apartment building in Latrobe.
Glen Whittier, 54, is facing criminal homicide and tampering with evidence charges.
Early Sunday morning, Pamela Puskar, 59, was found stabbed to death at Loyalhanna Apartments on Jefferson Street.
Police released pictures earlier this week of a man they considered a person of interest in the case, asking people who live in the area for any possible video they had.
Latrobe Police Chief Richard Bosco said that it appeared that there was a struggle during the incident and that the victim and the suspect knew each other somehow.
Investigators believe Puskar was killed in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office said surveillance video shows Whittier leaving the Loyalhanna Apartments at approximately 7 a.m. on Saturday.
Whittier is in the Westmoreland County Prison and was denied bail.
Police are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information or surveillance video that may be pertinent to the investigation is urged to contact the Westmoreland County Detective Bureau at 724-830-3287.
