Bitter temperatures overnight ahead of some rebounding heat

PITTSBURGH — One more bitter night before temperatures start to rebound heading through the weekend and into next week.

Temperatures will drop into the single digits in parts of the area with wind chills down near zero.

A weak system traveling over the Great Lakes will bring some snow showers into the area Saturday through Sunday morning. Most of these will be north of Pittsburgh, although snow showers will become more numerous area-wide late Saturday night.  Much of the area will see a light coating of snow by Sunday morning, but areas north of I-80 and in the mountains could see an inch or two.

Temperatures will continue to rebound into next week with highs in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees by Tuesday and Wednesday.
