Motorcyclist killed in head-on crash on Route 51 in Fayette County

PERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash along Route 51 in Fayette County Tuesday morning.

Emergency dispatchers said the crash happened in the 3000 block of Pittsburgh Road around 5:25 a.m. in Perry Township.

Emergency responders said that a motorcycle collided head-on with a pickup truck.

Witnesses and the driver of the truck told troopers that the motorcyclist crossed over into the other lane.

Fayette County Coroner Dr. Bob Baker identified the driver of the motorcycle as Paul Corbett, 57, of Perryopolis. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
