NEW SEWICKLEY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Beaver County Tuesday evening.
The crash happened in the 500 block of Fezell Road in New Sewickley Township at around 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
New Sewickley Police said the preliminary investigation shows that the motorcycle was traveling north on Fezell Road and left the east side of the roadway. It then went over an embankment and overturned multiple times.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
At 5:22 p.m. on Tuesday, Coroner David Gabauer identified the victim as John Paytas, 65.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The road was closed for approximately three hours.
New Sewickley Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
