A woman was killed in a crash on an Allegheny County highway on Saturday morning.
According to PennDOT, the crash took place on eastbound US 22 around 9:45 a.m. near the Oakdale exit in North Fayette. It shut down all the eastbound lanes until around 11:35 a.m.
A Pennsylvania State Police report states that a driver lost control of their vehicle, crashing into a concrete barrier. The driver then counter-steered and hit an embankment before traveling off the roadway, where the vehicle overturned onto its roof in the right lane.
The driver, identified as Jody Ware, 66, of Strasburg, Ohio, died at an area hospital.
