PITTSBURGH — Two Pittsburgh area-based financial institutions are on the newly released Forbes 2025 ranking of America’s Best Banks.
S&T Bancorp was No. 46, and First Commonwealth Financial Corp. was No. 68. Both are community banks that have previously been on Forbes’ list of the nation’s top 100 in past years, including 2024.
The list of 100 were selected by Forbes from a field of the 200 largest publicly traded banks and thrifts in the U.S.
The data was provided by S&P Global Market Intelligence but the rankings were done separately by Forbes, using 10 metrics measuring growth, credit quality and profitability for the 2024 calendar year ending Sept. 30, 2024, as well as stock performance in the 12 months ending Jan. 10, 2025.
