PITTSBURGH — With inclement winter weather in the forecast starting Wednesday evening, PennDOT officials have decided to close HOV lanes.
The I-279/I-579 HOV lanes will close Tuesday night, around two hours after the end of the Penguins game. The lanes will not open for the morning commute on Wednesday.
The lanes are expected to remain closed throughout the winter storm, which is currently forecasted to end by midday Thursday.
