WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. — Kennywood Park has canceled its 21+ nights events after a second weekend of violence, the park confirmed.
A Channel 11 viewer sent us video of the fight that shows two groups of people violently punching each other in front of a crowd.
This comes just one week after another fight on Aug. 22 led to at least two women being banned from the park.

“I think it kind of shows how immature people can be,” said Beunca Allen, a park visitor.
Kennywood started the 21+ nights to give adults a fun evening out. But after two weeks of fights, safety is now the main concern for many guests.
“That definitely is a concern, especially if you’re dealing with adults who could be drinking,” said another parkgoer.
Crystal Gesser, whose child often visits the park, said she worries about the lack of safety.
“You should be able to go, whether it’s for 21 and over or whatever the event is, and just have fun and not have to be concerned about what may occur,” Gesser said.
In a statement, Kennywood General Manager Rick Spicuzza condemned the fighting.
“Kennywood has a zero-tolerance policy for this type of behavior. Anyone displaying unruly or disruptive behavior will be banned from the park,” Spicuzza said.
Spicuzza also confirmed to Channel 11 that the park is “cancelling the 21+ event at Kennywood effective immediately.”
Some visitors told Channel 11 they believe more security is needed.
“I think there just should be an increased security, whether it’s daylight or nighttime,” one guest said.
It is not clear if more security was added after last week’s incident.
Another woman told Channel 11 she’s sad to see events like this go.
“We could have more fun things to do in Pittsburgh. I feel like we’re very limited anyway, so like I said, that was disappointing to hear,” she said.
Channel 11 is still working to learn how many people were banned after the most recent fight.
