Major riverfront site in Lawrenceville hits the market for sale

PITTSBURGH — An open six acres of riverfront in Lawenceville on the edge of the Strip may be soon be reenvisioned for a new use beyond its current status as a surface parking lot.

To start the new year, Cushman & Wakefield sent an email blast offering 43 33rd St. for sale. It’s an open asphalt-covered lot that the ownership of the neighboring Restaurant Depot has opted to sell off from its established operation.

The open parcel is being market for sale by Jack O’Donoghue, a managing director in the Pittsburgh office of Cushman & Wakefield. O’Donoghue did not respond for comment.
