MCKEESPORT, Pa. — The McKeesport Area School District has a new superintendent and vice superintendent.
The school district announced Thursday that Donald L. MacFann was approved for a five-year contract with the district as the new superintendent and Matthew L. Mols was approved for a five-year contract as assistant superintendent.
The McKeesport Area District School Board worked with Albert Educational Consulting for several months to identify a school superintendent who possesses outstanding leadership skills and can fully relate to the McKeesport Area School District, officials said.. MacFann was chosen from 28 applicants who expressed interest in the position.
McFann most recently served as superintendent of Schools for the Bethlehem - Center School District in Washington County.
Mols has been serving as assistant to the superintendent since July 2024, the district said.
