PITTSBURGH — Several people were taken to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash that shut down inbound Parkway North in Pittsburgh.
The crash was first reported around 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, PennDOT says.
I-279 southbound was closed between the North-East Street exit and the Veterans Bridge exit, causing significant traffic back-ups. The road reopened around 11:45 a.m.
State police say four adults and two children were taken to the hospital for injuries. Their condition was not immediately available.
