Woman dead after motorcycle crash in Washington Township

WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. — One person is dead after a motorcycle crash in Washington Township on Saturday.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, around 1:05 p.m., Butler PSP responded to a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on SR 38 (Oneida Valley Road.) Investigators say the motorcycle crossed the center line, crashed into a guide rail, then went down the embankment and into a creek.

PSP says the passenger, 66-year-old Betty Campbell, died on scene.

The driver, a 69-year-old man, was flown to an area hospital with suspected serious injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
