PITTSBURGH — Nearly 2,000 people are without power after severe storms and heavy rain rolled through southwestern Pennsylvania on Friday.

As of 7:45 a.m. Saturday, Duquesne Light Company reported 1,094 total power outages. Most of the outages were in Allegheny County.

West Penn Power reported more than 800 power outages in the region, a majority of which were in Washington and Westmoreland counties.
