JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A portion of Interstate 79 in Butler County was shut down Wednesday after a tri-axle overturned, spilling coal it was carrying all over the roadway.
State police said that one northbound lane was temporarily shut down at mile marker 87.7.

The tri-axle was carrying 19 tons of coal.
Harmony Fire District, an agency that responded to the crash, said the incident also involved a passenger vehicle that ended up facing the wrong direction. That vehicle sustained minor damage.
No one was injured in the crash.
