DERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A motorcyclist has died after a Thursday afternoon crash in Derry Township.
A 911 dispatcher said the crash involving a vehicle and motorcycle was reported around 4 p.m. at the intersection of Route 982 and Lincoln Avenue.
Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson says the crash happened when a Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling south on Route 982 hit a northbound Ford Mustang turning left onto Lincoln Avenue.
The motorcycle’s operator, identified as Jarad Boyle, 49, died on scene. The coroner says he was not wearing a helmet.
