ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — A high school student was shot by a federal agent in Beaver County, officials say.
Beaver County emergency dispatchers say emergency crews were called to Waugaman Street in Aliquippa at around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

One person was flown to a hospital from the scene.
Officials say the victim is a high school senior who is in critical condition.
Investigators said a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agent shot the victim.
Neighbors who lived in the area said they heard four gunshots.
Pennsylvania State Police said the ATF was working with the FBI in a joint investigation in the area before the shooting.
Neither the ATF nor the state police has provided any further details about what the investigation included.
State troopers are leading the investigation into the incident.
Aliquippa’s Mayor Dwan Walker is calling for calmness as the investigation happens.
“We’re asking for clarity and calmness. We’re asking for people to search their inner self, take a deep breath, get all the facts before you make a snap judgment,” Walker said. “Let’s see what these next 24 to 72 hours hold.”
