VERONA, Pa. — A man was shot in Verona on Sunday night.
Allegheny County dispatchers said police and medics were called to the 500 block of Vogels Lane at 10:21 p.m.
Allegheny County Police said the victim was a man who was shot multiple times. He was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
Police believe an unknown suspect entered the man’s house and shot him.
According to the Verona Police Department, officers searched the home and the surrounding area for the suspect but were unable to find them.
Verona police say the incident is believed to be targeted, and there is no threat to the general public.

On Monday morning, the Riverview School District posted on social media that there will be increased police presence at pick-up and drop-off times so staff and families feel safe.
No Riverview students or families were impacted by the shooting, the district said.
