BALDWIN, Pa. — A pickup truck crashed into a home in Baldwin Friday morning.
It happened around 5:15 a.m. in the 600 block of Agnew Road.
Deputy Chief Chris Barker of the Baldwin Independent Fire Company said the truck sheared a gas meter and water line before hitting the home.
“I just heard a bang or a pop, and it’s trash day, so I thought it was one of the trash buggies or someone putting their garbage out,” said neighbor Michael Daly.
Daly said this isn’t the first time something like this has happened.
“We’ve been here about 12-15 years, and this has probably happened 3-4 times where people roll down Joseph and lose control,” Daly said. “The hedges got taken out a couple times.”
Officials at the scene told Channel 11 the driver of the truck took off after slamming into the house.
“Police did find his location and they’re dealing with him right now,” Barker said.
No one was hurt in the crash. A husband and wife who live in the home were relocated.
Crews have since removed the truck and are boarding up the hole.
