Plane set to depart Pennsylvania airport grounded after allegedly being hit by de-icing truck

HARRISBURG, Pa. — A plane set to depart a Pennsylvania airport was grounded Thursday after officials say it was possibly hit by a de-icing truck.

NBC affiliate WGAL reports that a Delta Airlines plane at Harrisburg International Airport was scheduled to leave at 5 p.m.

Airport officials said they believe the plane’s winglet was hit by a de-icing truck while passengers were aboard prior to departure, WGAL reports.

The plane remains grounded while Delta investigates, airport officials told WGAL.
