Tee times for Round 3 of U.S. Open announced

OAKMONT, Pa. — The tee times for the third round of U.S. Open play at Oakmont have been announced.

The third day of the tournament began at 7:30 a.m. with the continuation of Round 2, which could not be completed on Friday due to dangerous weather.

Thirteen players did not finish on Friday, but picked up where they left off on Saturday morning.

U.S. Open officials say Round 3 play will start at 9:12 a.m. Notable pairings for this round of play include:

• Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele - 10:34 a.m.
• Cameron Young, Scottie Scheffler - 1:02 p.m.
• Adam Scott, Viktor Hovland - 3:24 p.m.
• J.J. Spaun, Sam Burns - 3:35 p.m.

U.S. Open officials warn that some viewing areas may be wet and muddy, urging spectators to use caution when navigating the course. Widespread rain is expected again on Saturday.

Anyone who chooses not to attend on Saturday because of the rain and course conditions can get a refund.
