PITTSBURGH — Snow showers return late tonight and early Tuesday so allow some extra time as you make your Tuesday morning plans.
Steadier bands of snow could leave slick spots with most areas picking up around 1″ of snow with higher amounts possible where snow bands set up.
Most of the steady snow will wind down by mid-morning but off and on snow showers will be possible through the day. However, temperatures are expected to climb above freezing by Tuesday afternoon keeping travel issues to a minimum.
It will be windy though, with gusts as high as 30 mph possible at times making it feel more like the teens.
Another fast-moving system will bring snow showers back into the area Wednesday.
