PITTSBURGH — A crash temporarily shut down Route 51 in Pittsburgh’s Bon Air neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon.
An Allegheny County 911 official tells Channel 11 the crash was reported around 2:20 p.m. One person was taken to the hospital, but their condition isn’t currently known.
The road was closed on the inbound side between Edgebrook Avenue and Bausman Street, but an outbound lane remained opened.
Our crew on scene saw a white SUV on its side and a damaged utility pole.
The roadway reopened by 5 p.m.
