A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING has been issued for parts of Fayette, Indiana and Westmoreland counties.

UPDATE 6:45 p.m.

The Rostraver Central Fire Department said storms caused a utility pole to fall on the 100 block of Finley Road.

The wires were live and crews had to rescue the person inside after making the scene safe.

No injuries were reported.

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING has been issued for parts of Allegheny, Fayette, Washington and Westmoreland counties.


A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING has been issued for parts of Indiana and Westmoreland counties.


It’s very warm this afternoon, and scattered showers and storms are expected ahead of a cold front.

These storms could become strong to severe, with the possibility of damaging winds and hail. Remember when thunder roars, move indoors!

Most of the wet weather moves out later tonight, with drier conditions expected for Easter Sunday.

Sun and clouds for Sunday; highs will be in the mid to upper 60s.

Rain and some thunder are possible again late Sunday night into Monday morning. Monday will be very warm with the chance of thunderstorms; highs will be in the 70s. A few storms could be strong to severe.
