PITTSBURGH — A shooting investigation with multiple scenes and two people hurt is underway in Pittsburgh.
One scene is on Middletown Road in Crafton Heights and the other on Steuben Street in the West End.
Pittsburgh Public Safety officials say one shooting victim, an adult man, was found in the backyard of a residence on Middletown Road near Runnymede Street. He was unresponsive, shot in the chest and torso.
Officers rendered aid until medics responded and took him to a hospital in critical condition.
The official says city cameras saw a vehicle speed away shortly after the shooting. Officers followed and stopped it on Steuben Street near the West End Circle. Inside that vehicle was a man shot in the leg; he was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
Three other people were also in the vehicle, unhurt, and taken to police headquarters for questioning.
A juvenile seen running from the area was taken into custody and transported for questioning. The official says officers found a firearm on him.
The official calls the situation “fluid with information still coming in.” No arrests have been made.
Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating and working to learn what led up to the shooting. The Mobile Crime Unit is assisting, processing evidence and reviewing video footage.
