JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A woman was found dead inside her home in Butler County last week.
Police say Gina Depietro, 48, was shot and killed one week ago inside her apartment on Affinity Drive in Jackson Township.

Her sister, Tina Torquato, said she cannot wrap her head around the fact that she will never see her again.
“She’s my big sister and she’s gone,” Torquato said. “You have all these emotions like, ‘when was the last time I talked to my sister, what did we say, do I have any texts from her, any pictures of her?’”
Torquato told Channel 11 her sister had been shot three times in her face while she was asleep.
“We couldn’t even have an open casket. I couldn’t see my sister, I couldn’t touch her one last time,” Torquato said.
Police say the person who killed her was her ex-boyfriend, Dan Platt.
“They had their issues. They’d break up, make up, break up, make up. I never thought he’d go this far. I didn’t think he would ever do something like this,” Torquato said.
Gina had recently broken up with him and started dating someone new. Platt wasn’t happy about it.
“She would let us know some of the awful things he would say in text, but never said anything about him being abusive,” she added.
After Platt killed Gina, investigators say he drove to Beaver County, and killed himself.
“I’m sure his family is grieving also. But he made the decision to take my sister’s life and his own. Gina didn’t have a choice,” she said.
There is a GoFundMe to help the family with funeral expenses.
