PITTSBURGH — Fire quickly spread throughout a home in Sheraden.
Allegheny County dispatchers said crews were called to the 2700 block of Sacramento Avenue shortly after 2 p.m. on Friday.
Video shared by a neighbor showed smoke billowing out of the house. As she got closer, she saw massive flames burning out of the top of the home.
When Channel 11 got to the scene, there were several firefighters working to put out the flames.
“It was intense; black smoke. Then, I got up closer, then the flames were fully engulfing the second floor and shooting out and it took quite some time. The roof was still here when I got up here,” neighbor Marian Conti said.
Another neighbor said the woman who lives in the house was not home when the fire started.
