Pirates spring training is only a couple of weeks away.
On Tuesday, the clubhouse staff at PNC Park packed up their equipment to send it to Florida.
This process began in December. Now, two tractor trailers will carry roughly 26 pallets worth of equipment, from uniforms to gear, even personal luggage and some special requests.
“To make sure our video coordinator’s PlayStation didn’t get broken on the way down there, he wanted it up front in the semi with Mr. Joe the driver,” said Kiere Bulls, the Pirates home clubhouse manager.
Pitchers and catchers report to Bradenton on Feb. 12. The rest of the team must report five days later.
