Warrants requested for local ex-fire chief, wife who had inappropriate contact with boy, police say

LEET TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police have requested warrants for a local ex-fire chief and his wife, who allegedly had inappropriate contact with a boy.

Online court records show former Fair Oaks Fire Chief Nathan Turner and Stephanie Ann Turner are charged with corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent exposure, harassment, open lewdness and criminal conspiracy.

It all started as a theft investigation involving the Sewickley Water Authority, court documents obtained by Channel 11 show.

Back in October, the criminal complaint reveals, Sewickley Borough police seized a phone belonging to Nathan Turner, a former water authority employee.

Investigators say officers found a text message thread between Turner and his wife.

Court documents show the two discussed what police call “illegal activities with a minor child” in July of this year. The boy was 14 at the time.

Over the summer, Nathan Turner allegedly texted his wife, “You literally took your pants off in front of him.”

Stephanie Turner allegedly replied, “Yes, I did.”

The criminal complaint lists other graphic messages.

The boy, who was 14 at the time, revealed to authorities that Stephanie Turner made comments about his appearance in pants, documents show.

The boy added that the conversation eventually evolved into her allegedly stating she wanted to have sex with him after he turned 18.

In the court paperwork, the teen also recalled a time inside the couple’s household in Leet Township, when Stephanie Turner allegedly exited a bathroom with no shirt or bra on.

The boy claimed she eventually pulled down her pants and exposed herself to him.

Court documents show the boy said the Turners were like parents to him.

Fair Oaks Volunteer Fire Department had no comment about the allegations against the Turners, but confirmed that both are no longer associated with the department. Fire officials say Nathan Turner resigned in August and “has not participated in any capacity in the department since his resignation.”

“The department further acknowledges that the allegations against Mr. and Mrs. Turner are concerning and serious in nature. They do not reflect the values and standards of the department, the fire service and the community,” the statement reads in part.
