Severe Thunderstorm Warnings issued for several counties; Damaging winds, heavy rain possible

PITTSBURGH — It will be another day with showers and thunderstorms trying to fire up. Once again, some of the storms could be strong with heavy rain and damaging winds.

Storms will start to pop early to midafternoon across the area with several clusters possible through this evening. It will not rain everywhere or the entire time, but you should have back up plans ready to go.

5:05 p.m. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Armstrong and Butler counties.

5:01 p.m. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Beaver and Butler counties.

4:56 p.m. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Venango, Clarion and Forest counties.

4:50 p.m. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Beaver and Lawrence counties.

4:30 p.m. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Beaver and Washington counties.

4:09 p.m. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Washington County.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Mercer and Venango counties.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for Allegheny Beaver, Butler, Lawrence and Mercer and Washington counties until 7 p.m.

Unsettled weather with showers and isolated storms continues into the weekend. There will be several dry hours over the weekend, but rain will interfere with outdoor activities from time to time Saturday and Sunday.

Some areas will see nearly two inches of rain total through Sunday.
