The Pittsburgh Marathon looks a bit damp to start Sunday morning, but we may see breaks throughout the race as the rain should begin to lift north by the mid-morning hours. There will be many dry hours Sunday afternoon with some brighter skies. This break in the wet and cloudy weather could fuel storms for the evening hours. Scattered storms are expected mainly after 5 p.m. through the evening, and a few isolated storms could turn severe. Damaging winds are the primary threat with any storm that may turn severe.
The unsettled weather pattern continues as a system stalls nearby, bringing chances for showers and thunder through Tuesday. Looks like we may begin to dry back out by mid-week.
