Temperatures to climb throughout Wednesday; wet weather returns in evening

PITTSBURGH — After a chilly start in the mid-20s, temperatures will climb through the day Wednesday, eventually topping out near 50.

Plenty of sunshine will give way to more clouds ahead of the next slow-moving system set to bring rain back into the area after sunset, then off and on through Friday.

The steadiest rain will come overnight into early Thursday, then become more scattered through the afternoon. Showers will also be possible Friday and again early Saturday, but none of the days should be a washout.

Sunshine returns Sunday, along with temperatures rebounding near 60.
