Storms on Monday could bring damaging winds, heavy rainfall, possible flooding

PITTSBURGH — Scattered storms are possible now through the early afternoon. Downpours could lead to localized flooding; frequent lightning and severe storms are all possible.

The primary threat with severe storms is damaging winds, but an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out. Make sure to stay weather aware and have a way to get updates.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 3 p.m. for our entire area.

UPDATE 12:07 p.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Allegheny, Washington and Westmoreland Counties until 1 p.m.

UPDATE 12:02 p.m.: A Flash Flood Warning has been for parts of Allegheny, Westmoreland and Washington counties until 3 p.m.

UPDATE 11:05 a.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Washington County until noon.
